At The Trail Tribe, our passion for adventure and the outdoors runs deep, and so does our commitment to giving back to nature. That’s why we’re thrilled to partner with ReSpek Nature and their Jobs for Carbon initiative. Together, we’re restoring South Africa’s native landscapes by planting spekboom cuttings—an incredible indigenous plant known for its exceptional ability to absorb carbon.
Why Spekboom?
Spekboom isn’t just any plant. Native to the Eastern Cape, this Karoo miracle has one of the highest carbon-sequestering abilities on the planet. By replanting spekboom in areas where it once thrived, we’re helping to regenerate ecosystems, absorb more carbon, and improve the environment for future generations.

How it works

Every time you purchase something, a small amount of CO₂ is released into the atmosphere.

By supporting ReSpek Nature, you can plant a spekboom in the Karoo, or several of them, to offset your CO₂.
